What does a treatment at DentalZuid cost, and what does your health insurer pay? This page explains how it works. We always tell you in advance, so nothing comes as a surprise.
Fees set by the NZa
The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) sets the maximum fees for dental care. They apply to every practice. Which procedures belong to your treatment depends on what you need. The full list is on our fees page.
Knowing the cost in advance
If a treatment costs €250 or more, you receive a written quote in advance. It shows what the treatment involves and what each part costs. Would you like a quote for a smaller treatment too? Just ask.
Reimbursement for adults
For adults, dental care mostly falls outside the basic health insurance. Many people therefore take out supplementary dental insurance. What it pays differs by insurer. Your policy terms give the answer.
Children up to 18
Dental care for children up to 18 is paid from the basic health insurance. Orthodontics is not included, and neither are some crowns and bridges. Read more about dental care for children.
