Fees 2026: the NZa maximum fees, which apply to every practice. What you pay depends on your treatment and your insurance; we discuss it in advance.
What does your insurance cover?
For adults, dental care mostly falls outside the basic health insurance. Many people cover it with supplementary dental insurance.
What that pays differs by insurer and plan. Check your policy terms or ask your health insurer.
Dental care up to age 18
Dental care for children up to 18 is part of the basic health insurance. Orthodontics is an exception, and so are some crowns and bridges. Read more about dental care for children.
Not sure whether something is covered? Ask us before we begin.
For a larger treatment you get a quote first
If a treatment costs €250 or more, you receive a written quote in advance. You see what is included and what it costs, and you decide without any rush.
1
We talk through what is needed
The dentist explains what we see and what the options are.
2
You get the quote
You read what each part of the treatment costs.
3
You ask your questions
We take the time to go through everything. Only then do we plan the treatment.
Questions about costs
Can the final amount differ from the list?
The list shows the fee for each procedure. Which procedures apply to you depends on what your mouth needs. That is why we talk it through with you first.
Will I hear what a treatment costs beforehand?
Yes. We tell you what we recommend and what it costs before we start. For a treatment of €250 or more, you get it in writing.
Can I claim the bill from my health insurer?
That depends on your insurance and your supplementary cover. Your policy terms show what is reimbursed in your situation.
Is dental care for children covered?
Yes, up to age 18 most dental care falls under the basic health insurance. Orthodontics does not. If you are unsure about a treatment, ask us beforehand.
